Used boats come in different kinds and cater different uses for its potential buyers and customers. It may be for luxury boats, fishing boats commercial boats and life boats. These boats may have been used for different industries and could be sold or permanently retired and disposed in ship grave yards. Used boats may be recycled and made to another different use but quite frankly may cost a lot to rebuilding and repairing its machine parts and its exterior shields. However some used boats could be re-used without much expenses in rebuilding such as the human powered boat or boats that are ran by rowing since it requires less repairing and machine and parts replacements for the most part. Also used boat which has significant history can be preserved by the concerned institution to uphold and value its history and significance. However for the most cases these used boats are often dumped or sold to junk buyers for its metals.

From the Bad Guys with Love at Boat Auctions

October 18th, 2011

The United States government has a lot of boat auctions out there and the fact is that most of the time these are held to make way for upgrades or to shut down some of the more expensive or less politically expedient programs. But then there are the auctions where they sell stuff that is taken away from the bad guys confiscated assets tied to crime busts like cars, trucks, boats, cycles equipment, computers, and jewellery are just a few of the big ticket items that routinely show up at United States Government auctions. They are the fruit of hard work by the men and women that are charged with maintaining law and order. So the government basically has not paid for them so they have to go and go fast nobody wants to keep the stuff at government buildings forever in storage and the fact is that they are a way of raising funds.
